I want you to get the care you deserve.

Transforming lives through therapy

Pamela Olausson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in practice for over 25 years. Pamela treats children, adolescents, and adults. Her areas of specialty are the treatment of depression, anxiety, grief and loss issues, relationship issues, children and adolescents and their families. Pamela’s professional focus is to provide quality mental health care to her clients online or in-person.

A personal approach

No person is the same, so it is essential for me that my clients get personalized care and can weigh in on the treatment plan and make sure it meets their individual goals. Rather than do things the typical way, I have created a system designed around my patients’ needs.

My Training & Experience

I began my training at Trinity College where I majored in Psychology. I next enrolled in the Masters Program at Smith College School of Social Work which is one of the nations most respected social work programs. After two internships in outpatient mental health clinics dealing with all age ranges and types of issues, I have been in private practice for over 25 years. Every year I attend a number of seminars, conferences and meetings to continue to learn about novel, innovative treatment options. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and licensed to practice in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Therapeutic philosophy

I am mindful that an individual’s decision to seek counseling may be a difficult one. Everyone needs help at times and the choice to seek support should be viewed as a strength not as a weakness. I will listen to my clients personal concerns in a confidential, caring and relaxed atmosphere. I will provide guidance and insight into the client's behavior as the client progresses on his or her personal journey toward emotional health and life success.
